新西兰麦当劳的面试题

3月 1st, 2008 by

1. You play in a mixed soccer team and one of your team mates at training offers you some advice around your game. You know they are a better player then you but you don’t like the way they approached you in front of others. You would:
1、Not take on their advice because they’re not the coach so you’ll wait to see if the coach says anything.
2、Make a joke about the person to your friends and try to embarrass the person.
3、Try to find something about your team mate’s game that you could pick them up on so you can get even.
4、Take on your team mates advice and ask for some assistance to get better. It will help the team if you improve.

2. You’re working at the local video store. One of the other team members needs to leave 10 minutes early and wants you to clock off for them. Would you:
1、Do it. It’s only 10 minutes and you’re helping someone out.
2、Remind them you’re not allowed and that they should speak to the manager. After all it probably wouldn’t be a problem.
3、Refuse outright and then tell the manager about their request.
4、Suggest that they could leave now and come 10 minutes early for their next shift.

3. You’re working on a group assignment. You’ve all been given a section to complete and the information will then be collated. You have a lot of other work to do and know everyone else in the group will do a good job. You would:
1、Leave the work until the last minute after all it’s only a group assignment and your other work is far more important.
2、Complete your section and several other areas so that you can cross reference your team member’s work.
3、Just do the bare minimum as the assignment isn’t in your name and if the marks turn out low you can blame it on the team.
4、Organise your time and work on the assignment like you would any individual project and put in as much effort as you can.

4. You’re playing in a social soccer team and you usually play in your favourite position as striker. Your captain has asked if you could play goalkeeper because your keeper is away. You would:
1、Happily swap positions but not push yourself too hard. After all, you don’t want to be in this position again next week
2、Refuse to play goal keeper. You don’t want to change from your position at striker.
3、Swap positions but let your captain know that this is the last time you’ll play goal keeper.
4、Happily swap positions. After all, it’s a team sport and everyone has to be flexible.

5. You have just started work at a local café shop as a waiter. You are taking a coffee out to a customer and you accidentally spill the coffee in the saucer when you place the cup down. You would:
1、Apologise to the customer and explain you’re only new to the job.
2、Apologise to the customer and get some serviettes to clean the excess coffee.
3、Apologise to the customer and take the coffee away and say you’ll get them a fresh cup.
4、Put the cup down and hope the customer doesn’t say anything.

6. You’re working in a café on a busy day. You’re going to the store room to collect some more gloves, but you notice that there are several items(like take-away containers, cups, lids etc.) that will be needed shortly as it’s very busy. You would:
1、Get the gloves as that is all you need for now and you need to get back to the kitchen.
2、Get the gloves. Someone else can fetch the other items as they need them.
3、Collect the gloves and bring a few other items to restock.
4、Tell someone else to go and get the stock for you.

7. It’s Saturday morning and you’re supposed to be going to your friend’s birthday party in the afternoon, but you forgot about a family commitment that you really have to go to. You would:
1、Call your friend and inform them you have a family commitment you’d forgotten about and apologise that you can’t be there.
2、Don’t worry about calling your friend; you’ll see them on Monday and will apologise then.
3、Get someone else to call your friend for you because you don’t want to disappoint them.
4、Wait until later in the day to call because you won’t have to speak to your friend directly and you can just leave a message.

8. You are at your friends house and you notice the tap in the bathroom is dripping. You would:
1、Try to turn the tap off and let your friend know that it is still leaking water.
2、Try and turn it off as best you can and let it be.
3、Just leave it as you think your friend would already know.
4、Don’t touch the tap. It’s not your house and you wouldn’t want to break anything.

9. Youare working in a hardware and gardening store. An elderly customer comes to your register with quite a few large pots and plants in their trolley. You notice they’re frail and could find it a struggle packing their items in to their car. You would:
1、Ask the customer how they will manage carrying all this to their car but don’t offer any assistance.
2、Not mention anything as they are obviously doing ok to be in the store.
3、Not do anything out of the ordinary, you manager didn’t tell you to do otherwise.
4、Offer to have someone to assist them taking their goods to their car.

10. You’re working in a retail hardware store. You have arrived at work and youare really tired and don’t really feel like being there. Unfortunately you have been rostered on the shop floor and will be dealing with customers all day. You would:
1、Put on a brave face and smile as it’s not the customers fault you are feeling tired.
2、Let all of your customers know that you don’t really want to be at work.
3、Just do the bare minimum and try to stay out of the way.
4、Constantly leave the shop floor and pretend to be checking for stock out the back to avoid talking to customers.

11. A customer asks you how your day is. You are not used to customers asking how you are and are a little shocked. You would:
1、Simply smile at the customer and reply “good”.
2、Tell them you’re having a horrible day and you really wish you weren’t at work.
3、Be natural with the customer and make small conversation with them.
4、Ignore the customer. You know they don’t really want to know how you are.

13. You’re working in a book store and your manager asks you to put away a pile ofbooks. Your manager didn’t say how long you have to complete the taskor what else there is to do after that. You would:
1、Promptly put the books away taking care to ensure they are in the right location, then ask what task is next.
2、Take your time putting the books away and make sure you don’t make any errors.
3、Make sure you stretch the task out for as long as you can because you know your boss will ask you to tidy up next.
4、Leave the task until later in the day because you don’t want to work too hard.

14. You’re working in a sports store. It’s been a busy Thursday night and the store is looking quite messy with stock out of place. There is half an hour left in your shift and the usual procedure is to tidy all the different areas before leaving. You would:
1、Just clean your area and make sure it is neat and tidy.
2、Quickly tidy your work area and then move on to another section so that the team are all able to leave on time.
3、Try to hide out the back, you don’t enjoy cleaning up and would rather not.
4、Give your area a real spot clean and hide some of the mess behind shop fittings, that way it will look really clean and won’t take you long to do.

15. Youare working on the early morning breakfast shift and you wake up at6am. You have to be at work by 6.30am and you luckily only live 5 minutes from work. You would:
1、Get ready very quickly and make sure that you’re able to be on time for your shift
2、You can’t possibly get ready that fast but you do the best you can and get to work once you’re ready.
3、Hit snooze on your alarm and try and sleep for an extra 5 minutes.
4、Slowly get out of bed and start getting ready. To save time you don’t iron your clothes.

16. You’re working in a busy food outlet. The fries that are ready should really be thrown away, but the fresh ones won’t be ready for another 2 minutes. You would:
1、Throw the fries away and wait for the fresh ones explaining the reason for the wait to the customer.
2、Use the fries that are there, at least they are hot and you have other customers to serve.
3、Tell the customer that there are no fries available.
4、Wait for the fresh fries and mix them with the old ones so that you can serve more people from this batch.
